Chapter 1:7 Days of SUFFERING: From Unity to Unreal Engine 5

After years of being an obsessed cultist writing code in Unity, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and learn Unreal Engine 5 in a week. The goal: a 3D platformer. At first, I felt more lost than a penguin in the Sahara. Not to mention the Blueprints system felt like the nodes were speaking to me in traditional Cantonese. However, relying on free tutorials, a lot of patience, and biting down hard on something so my jaw wouldn't unhinge, I managed to implement double jumps, a hitbox system that only works on business days, and even dynamic sound. You'll hear the wind howling at the top of the tower... and especially your character every time you see him fall! After seven days of fighting with mannequins, circular saws, and engine collisions, I managed to compile the build. The result? A game so difficult and poorly optimized that not even I can beat it without falling into the void over and over again. Enjoy it, that's why it's FREE!
